At Physics of Flight, we are continuously expanding our range of kits and accessories, so we have decided to create a page which will give you advanced notice of any products we intend to introduce to our range.
ROCKETS
We at Physics of Flight would like to announce the imminent release of A COMPLETE RANGE of BT60 sized rockets & missiles for C, D and E engines.
All will come with:
- pre-cut balsa fins
- ply centering rings
- rip-stop parachutes
as standard, plus any extras! (if applicable).
The 1st rocket off the production line is the fantastic British ALARM anti-radar missile (prototype version), with other rockets and missiles to follow.
Introduced in the early 1990s, The A.L.A.R.M. (Air Launched Anti-Radar Missile) was designed to be fired at a radar site, with the added feature that if the radar was turned off (thus preventing the missile from homing in on the radar), then the missile would shoot straight up in the air, and then 'hang' on a small parachute over the target. The radar operators, suspecting that the missile must have been destroyed, or 'lost' after a period of time, would turn the radar back on again, at which point the A.L.A.R.M. would re-acquire it's target, shed the parachute and slam into the target.
Please check back soon for updates, as we intend to introduce kits to the range as soon as possible
